ceargo conformance checker

Does your shipment record conform?

Paste a shipment record below. The checker tells you the highest of three levels it meets, and lists everything missing or wrong for the next level up.

Draft. This checks against ceargo profile v0, a draft. No standards body has endorsed it, and the levels and rules can change.
Your record never leaves your browser. Checking happens on your computer. Nothing you paste or drop is uploaded, sent or stored. (When the page opens it fetches one public checking library; your record is never sent to it or anywhere else.)

1. Your record

A shipment record is one file that describes one shipment: who is involved, what moved, and what happened at each stop. The checker reads it in a format called JSON, which most freight systems can export.

Words used on this page
Record
One file describing one shipment, shared by the shipper and the carrier.
Field
One named item in the record, such as recordedAt. The checker shows where it sits, for example parties[1].lei means the lei field of the second party listed (counting starts at 0).
Event
Something that happened at a stop: arrival, pickup, departure or delivery, with its time and place.
Shipper, carrier
The company sending the goods and the company moving them.
Accessorial charge
An extra charge on top of the freight rate, such as detention (waiting time), demurrage (time a container sits at a port or terminal) or layover.
GLN, GTIN, SSCC, LEI
Standard numbers for a location, a product, a pallet or carton, and a company. Each ends in a check digit that catches typing mistakes.
Existing standard
Each field in this record matches an element of a standard that is already in use, such as GS1 or UBL. Where the checker says unverified, the match has not been confirmed against that standard's public text, so do not treat it as established.
